To Configure CAD Converter Settings for a PDMS Data Source

  1. Double-click CSST.mdb (C:\ConstructSimData\Projects\<ProjectName>\CSST) to open CSST-Admin.
  2. In CSST-Admin, expand CSST Set-Up. Double-click Configure Data Processing Converters and in the VCM Data Processing Configuration window, select CAD Converter Settings.
  3. In the CAD DataSources dialog, click Import.

    The CAD DataSource Import dialog opens.

  4. Browse to the PDMS_i-model.sql file and click Import.
  5. In Bookmarks Setup dialog’s Value to use field, type in the value to use, such as PDMS i-model, and click Continue.
  6. In the CAD Data Sources dialog, select the imported data source and click Edit.

    The i-model Converter Configuration Options dialog opens.

  7. In the Location field, specify the location of the i-model files.
  8. In the Wildcard field, type “*” to add all files in the folder and click OK.

    The Action Selection dialog opens.

  9. Click Import to import the configuration file for the i-model.

    The i-model import settings dialog opens.

  10. Browse to the path of the i-model files folder and the configuration file (csim.xml) and click Import to add the file.
  11. Click OK in the i-model import (successfully) dialog.
  12. Close all dialogs and click Done in the CAD DataSources dialog to complete configuration.
